Nevertheless the huge efforts of Roman church to destroy the ancient celtic and pagan's traditions some of them survived thanks to some families who made a profound secret of all their traditions, urged thereto by fear of the priests.

In the last years there has been a rebirth of acient forms of spirituality like neo-panganism, for example.
Neo-pagan spirituality includes the better known Wicca and other less visible groups like Druidism and the Church of All Worlds.

Wicca is based on a deep respect for nature, but it doesn't imply a refuse for technology, the most of wiccans don't see their life like a return to the mud hovel... like Lady Cybele of Madison said laughing: "it's a bummer flying my broom in winter". They believe everything -animated and non- has a spirit (essence) that links it with nature and makes it part of the universe. They use some toold such spells, chants, candles, amulets and meditation to focus on natural power, a power which comes from within. (more about Wicca)

Unfortunately among the form of spirituality and occultism there is one that is very difficult to 'accept' -if it's possible to accept it..- the church of satan. During the last few months, the dead bodies of some members of this sect -killed during some rituals- have been found in the woods in the North-West of Lombardy. I don't feel like adding any comments to these criminal acts. I only thought of adding it here, because I felt it was fair to mention some events that have shocked the public opinion in my area and in the whole country.

Anyway, moreover these 'particular' groups, the most of people living in my region are catholics. Due to the fact that I don't have anything to write about it, I let you the opportunity to check for more news about it -obviously if you are interested!- around the net.
